If you’ve stumbled upon this post, it’s most likely because you were interested in the Flum Pebble. We carried Flum for a while and genuinely liked it (s/o to the Matcha flavor). However as time went on, it became IMPOSSIBLE to find when we needed to re-stock. So… we did a little research to figure out what the heck happened here.
Back in 2025 Flum was one of the many brands targeted by the FDA for not being authorized for sale in the US. Hundreds of warning letters were sent to manufacturers and retailers carrying the product, which led to them quietly disappearing from the shelves.
Separately, around the same general timeframe, Flum rebranded as Float. The Flum Pebble is now sold as the Float Pebble, same company, same device, just a different name. We don’t have confirmation the rebrand was related to the FDA action, the shift in brand identity may have just been a coincidence of timing. Either way, it’s good information to have if you are trying to hunt one down.
